A student of the Institute of International Education won a prize at the International IV Competition of Reciters among students and graduate students from Asia and Africa “Victory in the hearts of generations”

The International IV International Reciters Competition among students and postgraduates from Asian and African countries “Victory in the Hearts of Generations”, organized by the Youth Section under the Russian Committee for Solidarity and Cooperation with the Peoples of Asia and Africa, was held from March 13 to May 23.

More than 500 foreign students from 61 countries of the world took part in the Competition: 27 countries of Asia, 28 countries of Africa, as well as representatives of South America and Europe. The purpose of the competition is to preserve the memory of the role of the USSR in the victory over fascism, popularize Russian patriotic poetry, and strengthen interest in learning the Russian language.

18 students of the Institute of International Education of the Vlogý MIREA participated in the Competition with poetic works dedicated to the Great Patriotic War. Students read poems by famous poets: Konstantin Simonov, Mikhail Isakovsky, Andrei Usachov, Bulat Okudzhava. The preparation of the participants of the Competition was carried out by professors of the Department of Russian (as a foreign language) of the Institute of International Education.

Mungunsuvd Gerelt-Od, a student of the Institute of International Education from Mongolia, who recited Yulia Drunina's poem “I brought home from the fronts of Russia...”, was awarded a 3rd degree Diploma.

On June 13, a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the IV Reciters Competition among students and graduate students from Asian and African countries “Victory in the Hearts of Generations” took place in the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

The head of the project is Svetlana Stanislavovna Gulyants, senior lecturer of the Department of Russian (as a foreign language) of the Institute of International Education.
