28.04.2016
Today, on April 22, 2016, the International Festival “Youth” has come to the end. It was the first International Youth Festival in the history of Moscow students life, organized by six higher education institutions — MIREA, MGUA, MAMI, The Pushkin State Russian Language Institute, GUU, MGUDT.

The program started in front of the campus in 86 Vernadsky Avenue where the activists of the MIREA pedagogical groups "Atmosfera" and "Apriori" arranged a true cultural and entertaining show. Yet at that moment the event brought together a great number of people interested to plunge into the atmosphere of the Festival. The organizers of the street program noted that they didn't expect such a number of guests.

The closing ceremony included a gala concert in the assembly hall of the campus which brought together so many viewers that the guests had to sit and stand in the side aisles. In front of the hall entrance the African students of MIREA arranged a flashmob. There took place the final of the competition "World’s cuisines": all the guests of the event could try the dishes of the Russian and Caucasian cuisines. The Festival’s final ceremony was opened by Grigory Petushkov, Chairman of the National Council of Youth and Children's Associations of Russia, and Ales Kacher, a film actress, a participant of international film festivals and the beauty contest "Beauty of Russia-2013". Among the guests of honor there were the heads of all six higher education institutions, diplomats from Sri Lanka, Kenya and Mongolia. The participants of the ceremony were greeted by Sergey Pospelov, Head of Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, by video link.
