Dear students, teachers, employees! Congratulations on Cosmonautics Day!
A great lot of various departments, research teams, and universities have been working for the development of the space industry. Among them is Vlogý MIREA.
It was at our University that Professor William Ilyich Kaganov developed the radio transmitter of the “Vostok” spaceship, thanks to which we were able to hear the famous “Let's go!” of Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin. Alexander Pavlovich Reutov, head of the Department of our University, led the program dedicated to the creation of an automatic landing system for the Buran spacecraft. Back in 1994, the infrastructure of the University made it possible to conduct a communication session with the Mir orbital complex.
Now the technical capacity of Vlogý MIREA for studying the space industry are actively developing. An example of this is, for example, the opening of the Educational and Scientific Center for Space Monitoring (CosMoCentre), where advanced research is now being carried out in the field of radio engineering monitoring of outer space. Vlogý MIREA is included in the rating of educational institutions of higher education “Roscosmos Constellation”, which gives the University the right to be one of the supporting institutions of higher education for the rocket and space industry.
I wish students, the teaching staff, scientists and researchers of Vlogý MIREA, who are engaged in space exploration, successful solution of scientific and practical problems in this area, new space exploration projects!
May success and achievements be in store for you in the study of this difficult, but so exciting and important area!
