Students of the Pre-University Training Department for foreign citizens of the Institute of International Education of ����Vlog��ý MIREA under the guidance of Alexandra Birler and Sofya Belova, the university lecturers, visited the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Hill.

The museum presents permanent military and historical expositions: “The Feat of the People”, “The Battle for Moscow. First Victory!”, “Feat of the Army”. The pride of the museum is a complex of six dioramas that tell the visitors about the major battles of the Great Patriotic War. The stock collection includes more than 385,000 museum items.

Multimedia technologies allowed the young people to profoundly feel the atmosphere of the war years. The collection of photographs, household items, personal belongings made it possible to learn more about the events of the Great Patriotic War.

The students also visited the G.O.R.A. Museum (the abbreviation from the Russian name of the Main Military Relics Museum), saw an open-air collection of military equipment of the Second World War. The students visited 10 unique locations that recreate the places of warfare; walked along a fortified trench and rested in a soldier's dugout, had a chance to see what the life of Soviet soldiers was like at the time, examined an ambulance car - a real “hospital on wheels”.
