As part of the acquaintance of foreign students with the historical and cultural heritage of Russia, students of the preparatory department for foreign citizens of the Institute of International Education of Vlogý MIREA under the guidance of Sofya Belova, lecturer of the Department, visited the museum-estate Kuskovo - the former estate of the Sheremetev count family.
The students visited the palace - the main building of the estate, designed for a solemn reception of guests in the summer. The best foreign artists and sculptors, as well as Russian free and serf craftsmen, were engaged in creating the interior of the palace. After examining the palace interiors, the students took a walk in the park, looked into the Dutch house on the bank of the pond and the Hermitage pavilion, which in the 18th century could only be entered by close friends of Count Sheremetev. The visitors were able to appreciate the interior decoration of the Grotto pavilion, the most exotic place on the estate. Shell sculpture and decorative elements are unique works of Western European masters.
The tour ended with a visit to the Large stone greenhouse, where exhibits of the ceramics museum are now located.
