On November 10, the finals of the fifth annual interuniversity competition among graduates of the social and educational project “Samsung IT Academy” took place. This year, the jury evaluated all the projects of the tracks “The Internet of Things”, “Artificial Intelligence” and “Mobile Development” in total, and awarded the participants prizes for the first, second, and the third place. In addition to the main nomination and Viewers’ Choice, awards were also given in the categories Samsung’s Choice, Mentor of the Year, University Professor of the Year, and University of the Year.

The winner in the nomination “University Professor of the Year” was Anton Nikolaevich Mironov, senior lecturer and of “The Internet of Things” track at the Institute of Information Technologies of ����Vlog��ý MIREA since 2017, from the very start of the Samsung IT Academy project in Russia.

The Institute of Information Technologies of ����Vlog��ý MIREA implements all the three tracks of the Samsung IT Academy in the elite training program; first-year undergraduate students pass the annual track “Mobile development” in Java, the course “Mobile development” in Kotlin is part of the disciplines in the areas “Applied Informatics” and “Software Engineering”, the elective course on “The Internet of Things” is available to all students, and the annual “Artificial Intelligence” course is taught in the elite master’s program.
