Today, activities aimed to promote Russian culture and education in Russian, support and popularize the Russian language abroad are gaining special significance.

The past academic year, the Institute of International Education under the guidance of I.S. Solunova, Deputy First Vice-Rector, launched an additional professional advanced training program “Methodological tools and technologies for teaching the Russian language abroad” within the framework of which about 100 lecturers and professors of Russian (as a foreign language), literature, history, cultural studies from Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan underwent training.

In the current academic year, IIR continues to implement a professional development program for the professors and trainers of the Russian language abroad.

Within the framework of the program, ����Vlog��ý MIREA is engaged in informing broad public and future applicants about the University, as well as other career guidance work aimed to attract foreign school graduates to study at our University.

According to the students, the lectures “Norms of the Modern Russian Literary Language: Grammar and Stylistic Aspect”” (Ph.D., Associate Professor Fatima Soslanovna Makoeva), the interactive practical class “Techniques of Comprehensive Text Analysis for Students of Different Levels of Russian Language Proficiency” (Elena Nikolaevna Tarasova, Head Department of Russian (as a foreign language), Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences), master class “Funny Etymology - Interactive Game” (Zhanna Olegovna Moskvina, PhD in Philology) proved to be particularly interesting and useful.
