On April 20, 2016 there was signed the Memorandum of Understanding between Moscow Technological University and Institute of Technology of Cambodia in the capital of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The Memorandum assumes the development of bilateral relations in science and research, in the field of academic exchange and international youth cooperation.

The document was signed by Alexander S. Sigov, President of MIREA, Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Dr. Om Romny, Rector of H.E. from Institute of Technology of Cambodia. The signing ceremony was also attended by Grigory V. Petushkov, Director of Youth Policy and International Relations Institute, Chairman of National Council of Youth and Children's Associations.

The signing ceremony took place within the visit of the Russian Federation delegation to the Kingdom of Cambodia. The main objective of the visit was the experience exchange in education and work with the youth.
