On February 20, a series of Doors Open Days of Vlogý MIREA started in full-time format. The cycle of meetings of applicants and their parents with representatives of the University was opened by the Institute of Information Technologies. More than 1000 people took part in the event.
The Doors Open day was held in two streams in order to comply with the sanitary and epidemiological standards.
On that day, applicants were able to communicate with professors and trainers, graduates and, of course, students who take courses in various fields of study at the Institute of Information Technologies. For the guests of the Doors Open Day, lectures were held: “Ways to IT: how to cover the way from an intern to a professional”, “Computer graphics and digital modeling”, “Software development: modern technologies and standards”, and others.
Schoolchildren and their parents participated in the activities of the interactive zone with great interest. Here, among other things, developments created by students of the Institute were demonstrated: various games with the use of virtual reality glasses, projects in the field of augmented reality, etc. The excursion program around the Institute's megalaboratories proved to be very popular.
Applicants paid special attention to the presentations of the Institute of Information Technologies and the Admissions Committee, where they received all the necessary information about the advantages of the institute and familiarized themselves with the procedure for entering Vlogý MIREA.
The Vlogý MIREA military training center also took part in the Doors Open Day. The University lecturers and trainers told the applicants about the training program for enlisted men and reserve officers, demonstrated the possibilities of additional education: applicants could get information about the diving and airsoft clubs, the shooting club and the club of war correspondents, they had a chance to see a combat drone laboratory too.
At the event, all safety standards were ensured: at the check-in desks, adult citizens were checked for a QR vaccination code, a previous disease or a valid PCR test, and the classrooms were filled for only 50% social distance to be properly maintained.
For those who could not come to the event, we publish materials that can be of use:
