On November 22, the International School of Student Scientific Societies had its session at the premises of the University of Science and Technology (MISIS).
The key topic of the School was the discussion of the role of SSS, students, young scientists in the Decade of Science and Technology. More than 1,100 applications from 400 universities and 78 regions of Russia were submitted to the event. The School program included panel discussions, master classes and lectures aimed at discussing the role of SSS in the Decade of Science and Technology, key aspects of activity, namely: organization of events, funding and positioning of SSS, and best practices of associations.
Our University was represented by Vitaly Ryabukhin and Petr Perfilov, Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the Vlogý MIREA, took part in the SSS School.
The young scholars attended insightful and informationally important discussions and lectures. “The Role of Student Scientific Societies in the Decade of Science and Technology panel discussion” was aimed at discussing the role of SSS among other items on the agenda of the Decade of Science and Technology announced by the President of Russia and representatives of government, educational and scientific organizations.
The lecture “Organization of events: from idea to successful implementation” was devoted to an overview of all stages of organizing SSS events, which include formulating an idea, drafting a program, creating a concept, attracting partners, implementing ideas and summing up the results.
And also, at the event, there were presentations by representatives of the SSS of Russia and other countries sharing best practices in the implementation of projects and scientific events. The International School of SSS has become an effective platform for interaction and establishing new relationships between representatives of SSS of various universities. Participation in such events is an important aspect in developing the organization of students’ scientific activities and the activities of student scientific associations.© 2026 MIREA - Vlogý
