The working meeting of representatives of Vlogý MIREA and the Havana Technological University was held on June 14. Modesto Gómez Crespo, Rector of the University, Marta Dunia Delgado Dapena, First Vice-Rector, Daniel Alfonso Robaina, Vice-Rector for Research and Postgraduate Studies, Luis Alberto Rueda Guzmán, Director of International Relations, Pablo Montejo Valdes, Dean of the Faculty of Telecommunications and Electronic Engineering, participated in the video conference from the Havana University of Technology, Raisa Socorro Llanes, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Engineering, Adriana Acosta Corso, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Automation and Biomedical Engineering, Lianis Ortega Viera, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering. Vlogý MIREA was represented by Alexander Sergeevich Sigov, President, Nikolai Ivanovich Prokopov, First Vice-Rector, Irina Sergeevna Solunova, Deputy First Vice-Rector, Andrey Sergeevich Zuev, Director of the Institute of Information Technologies, Mikhail Petrovich Romanov, Director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Pavel Yurievich Pushkin, acting Director of the Institute of Advanced Technologies and Industrial Programming, Natalya Alexandrovna Bragina, Deputy Director of the Lomonosov Institute of Fine Chemical Technologies, Evgenia Alexandrovna Keller, Head of the Department of International Relations, Victoria Dmitrievna Yulovskaya, Head of the Department of Innovation Activities, Irina Vladimirovna Piletskaya, Inspector of the Department of International Cooperation.
During the meeting, issues of joint research projects implementation and professional retraining programs for specialists from the Cuban and Latin American business sectors were discussed. The parties mapped out the main areas of cooperation, and paid special attention to mechatronics, the Internet of Things and home automation, artificial intelligence and data analysis, detection and recognition of radar targets, telecommunications network management, chemical technologies in nanoelectronics, security of hardware, and network infrastructure.
Representatives of the two universities outlined common goals that will determine the vector for the development of further comprehensive academic cooperation and joint activities in the field of applied scientific research.
