Yandex and MIREA – ����Vlog��ý signed an agreement on joint training of IT specialists. As part of joint educational projects between the University and the IT company, the emphasis will be placed on practical training for students.

The expansion of cooperation between Yandex and ����Vlog��ý MIREA, including the introduction of digital services, will improve the quality of training for IT specialists and will be a step towards practice-oriented education at the University. Apart from that, the partners will use such accessible formats as research works, joint conferences, seminars and round tables. The topics of the events will be selected on the basis of the current demands in the labor market for IT specialists in this field.

The combination of the academic background of ����Vlog��ý MIREA teaching staff and the practical expertise of Yandex specialists will allow students to gain valuable knowledge and master IT competencies that are in demand on the market. “It is important for Yandex to provide talented students with high-quality and affordable tools to acquire in-demand skills and start a career in IT. That is why we develop joint reasearch and educational projects with the country’s leading universities, share our expertise and best practices with both students and the teaching staff. Contribution to higher education is an important component of the long-term development of the company and the entire industry, our social capital,” said Darya Kozlova, director for education at Yandex.

Yandex is one of the key industrial partners of ����Vlog��ý MIREA. The company holds open door days and excursions to its headquarters for university students. Apart from that, on the premises of the Altair Children’s Technopark organized by the University, there is a Lyceum of the Yandex Academy, which introduces students to IT professions. A number of employees and students of the University take part in the Yandex U-Team Ambassador program.

“We are systematically expanding our participation in “Priority 2030” state program to support universities in the Russian Federation. We are constantly expanding cooperation with industrial partners, primarily to launch relevant educational programs together with them.

This is how we build continuous education at the University: from the early acquaintance of young people with the fundamentals of the profession, subsequent education at the University and up to employment. At each stage of training, we get practitioners from our partners involved in the process.
