What kind of students are universities to expect? Rectors of the country's leading universities tried to answer these questions.
At the meeting, Stanislav Alekseevich spoke about the activities of Vlogý MIREA in conditions of self-isolation. He noted that the pandemic clearly demonstrated the high degree of flexibility of the management system of Russian universities, and how advanced teaching technologies are currently used: "We are proud that over the past 5 years we have managed to create a significant background for the development of a digital educational environment. Therefore, when we faced the necessary to transfer all the 26,000 full-time students to a distance format, we did it literally in three days. In a week, we were able to restructure all our continuing education programs to fit the online format too". Vlogý MIREA focuses on making all online services convenient and user-friendly.
Stanislav Alekseevich also said that the next year the University would have over 4300 budget places. The number of places totals over 8,000. "We are expecting the most capable, most professionally motivated applicants who are interested in science and technology. In addition, Vlogý MIREA is always happy to see creative, non-standard-minded students. Our University sets serious goals. We understand perfectly well that to write a dissertation or start a career in a serious company, one needs to undergo training on the most advanced equipment. Vlogý MIREA has launched 12 largest mega-laboratories, some of which have no analogues in Russia.
The higher education received with us will be the start to professional success!"
