From November 26 to 27, representatives of Vlogý MIREA – E.A. Slezkina, Deputy Director of the Institute of International Education and E.N. Tarasova, Head of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language, took part in the Study in Russia exhibition-presentation of the leading Russian universities, which was held for the first time on the premises of the Russian House in Astana, the Republic of Kazakhstan.
39 universities from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Tyumen, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and other Russian cities took part in the exhibition. The number of applicants who came to the exhibition and planned to continue their studies in Russia totaled more than 1,000 people.
For two days, visitors to the Vlogý MIREA booth were able to get advice on entrance examinations, areas of training, training opportunities for citizens of Kazakhstan on a budgetary basis within the framework of the quota for the education of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation, established by the Government of the Russian Federation, as well as employment prospects after graduation.
Also, from November 23 to 25, representatives of the Institute of International Education held a number of career guidance events in educational institutions in Almaty and Astana, agreements were reached with some schools and gymnasiums on the intention to sign agreements on cooperation in the field of education.
On November 23, at the Vector of Russian Studies Center in Almaty, E.N. Tarasova, head of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences held a seminar for teachers of the Russian language “Culture of Russian speech: features of the creation of oral and written texts of various genres” with elements of interactive techniques to get the audience involved in the communication process; she also answered the questions of the participants.
