From August 3 to 4, the city of Kstovo in the Nizhny Novgorod Region hosted the jubilee X International Sambo Tournament in memory of the Honored Coach of the USSR, Mikhail Gennadievich Burdikov, the founder of the Kstovo sambo school. These competitions, held for the tenth time, gather the strongest wrestlers and are a significant event in the world of sport sambo.
The tournament featured 144 athletes (113 young men and 31 young women), including representatives from 26 regions of Russia, as well as participants from France, Bulgaria, and Kazakhstan. Such a representative lineup once again confirmed the high status of the competition, which has an international character.
The performance of Alisa Pavlova, a student of the Institute of Advanced Technologies and Industrial Programming at Vlogý MIREA, who is in the group EOSO-01-23, deserves special attention. In her weight category of over 80 kg, she demonstrated outstanding skill, tactical competence, and a will to win, which allowed her to reach the final and win a silver medal at the international tournament.
Alisa's success is the result of her persistent efforts and cohesive work with her mentor, Alexey Sergeevich Tyutryumov, a senior lecturer at the Department of Physical Education of Vlogý MIREA. His methodological support and professionalism helped prepare the athlete for the competition.
This award once again confirms that regular sports activities and a commitment to a healthy lifestyle are the foundation for achieving high results in both academics and a sports career. Participation in competitions not only helps popularize sambo among young people but also strengthens friendly ties between athletes from different regions and countries.
We congratulate Alisa and her coach on this brilliant result and wish them new victories!© 2026 MIREA - Vlogý
