From September 26 to October 1, a hackathon for students was held in Samara as part of the All-Russian Karman Line competition of experiments in space and stratosphere.

Our University was represented by 2 teams of students from the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and the Institute of Radio Electronics and Informatics.

As part of the hackathon, the teams had to develop a rocket control system, design a hull of the rocket, prepare and program electronic components, launch the rocket, take flight telemetry, and ensure a successful parachute landing of the rocket at the pre-flight preparation stage.

The launches of the rockets assembled by the participants took place at the Bobrovka airfield in the Samara region.

21 teams from Russian universities took part in the qualifying round. 17 teams were admitted to the final stage.

The Bibop team, consisting of the members of the Student Scientific Society of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence – Dmitry Fomichev, Georgy Karyaev, Alexander Pereshivailov, Mikhail Kunarev, Ilya Yarovoy – successfully completed all the assignments.

In a hard-fought battle, the team won the third place!

Congratulations to the winners and we wish them continued success!
