Comprehensive cooperation between MIREA – ����Vlog��ý and the Astra Group of Companies continues.

A large-scale comprehensive program of cooperation for the training of specialists between ����Vlog��ý MIREA and Astra Group continues, according to which it is planned to open a laboratory at the university in the fall of 2023 to study domestic software products of the Astra Linux family.

The agreement between ����Vlog��ý MIREA and Astra Group was signed in February 2022. Then the parties agreed on the creation and implementation of a comprehensive program for the training and retraining of specialists in system programming as part of import substitution. ����Vlog��ý MIREA is already training students in system programming using domestic IT products. With the opening of a specialized laboratory for the study of software products of Astra Group, the educational opportunities of students will increase significantly.

The earlier cooperation between ����Vlog��ý MIREA and Astra Group of Companies is already bearing fruit. The University has implemented and successfully uses in the educational process the Russian operating system Astra Linux, provided by the technology partner Astra Group of Companies. Through joint efforts, the profile “Fullstack Development” is being implemented as part of the training area “Information Systems and Technologies”. 94 students of this program have already received the status of certified users under the Astra Linux Special Edition 1.7 OS program.

A joint program “Administration of domestic operating systems” was also implemented within the framework of the “Digital Department” of ����Vlog��ý MIREA, which the University opened as a participant of the “Priority 2030” project. Astra Group of Companies actively involved in the training not only students, but also schoolchildren who study at the Altair Children’s Technopark of ����Vlog��ý MIREA: a joint free course “Fundamentals of the Astra Linux operating system” is available for children, career guidance events are held on the basis of the company. Thus, a complex multi-level training system is being built: from schoolchildren to young professionals.

Here, students will be able to get access to all Astra Group software products, and have the opportunity to get new knowledge, test and complete project tasks, undergo various on-the-job training, and participate in special projects. The combination of excellent fundamental training with on-the-job training at Astra-Laboratory makes ����Vlog��ý MIREA graduates highly demanded specialists in the IT market,” comments Fedor Kirdyashov, Director of the Education Department at Astra Group of Companies.

We are preparing for a full-scale opening of a new laboratory, where students will be able to work with Russian-made software, which is being introduced in Russia as part of the import substitution program.
