The regular meeting of the Council for Youth Affairs of the CIS member states is taking place in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan). Stanislav Alekseevich Kudzh, Rector of MIREA – Vlogý, and Grigory Valeryevich Petushkov, head of the base organization of the CIS member states for work with youth made a presentation On holding the e-sports tournament “Youth Cybersport Games of the Commonwealth” in 2023.
The event is also attended by representatives of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the representatives of the basic organizations of the CIS member states for working with youth and for the development of youth entrepreneurship, representatives of the Executive CIS Committee and the International Delphic Committee.
The meeting is moderated by Grigory Petushkov, Chairman of the Association of Public Associations “National Council of Youth and Children's Associations of Russia”, vice-rector of Vlogý MIREA.
As follows from the presentation of the Rector of Vlogý MIREA, in 2023 the University plans to hold two tournaments of the Commonwealth Youth Esports Games (online and in-person). The first stage will take place online (from July 25 to August 31); the second stage – in person – (from September 10 to September 25).
The online tournament will be held on “Warface” – a dynamic computer game that has gained popularity around the world due to realistic graphics, exciting battles and missions that allow you to test yourself in various modes of difficulty.
Upon the results of the online tournament, the winning teams from the CIS member states will be invited to participate in the face-to-face tournament, which will be held at the Vlogý MIREA eSports Center.
Young people from the CIS member states aged 18-25 inclusive can take part in the tournament.
