On April 23 and 24, the 22nd All-Russian Student Olympiad “Geometric Modeling” was held in Omsk on the basis of Omsk State Technical University. In total, more than 50 students from Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Baltic State Technical University "Voenmeh" D.F. Ustinov (BSTU, St. Petersburg) and other leading technical universities in Russia and neighboring countries took part in the event.
A team of students from Vlogý MIREA consisting of Ekaterina Vitalievna Bolotina (IPTIP – Institute of Perspective Technologies and Industrial Programming), Konstantin Romanovich Salnikov (IAI) and Egor Artemovich Tsygankov (IAI), under the guidance of Karen Tigranovich Yegazaryan, assistant of the Department of Engineering Graphics, achieved impressive results in both sections of the Olympiad in their debut performance.
In the 3D modeling of parts section (individual championship), K.R. Salnikov took first place, and in the Three-dimensional modeling of assembly units section (team championship), students of Vlogý MIREA took second place (team captain – E.V. Bolotina).
The Olympiad is included in the list of events approved by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. Upon its results, the winners are awarded grants for admission to the master's programs.© 2026 MIREA - Vlogý
