As part of the familiarization of the foreign students with the historical and cultural heritage of Russia, a walking tour of the sights of the central part of Moscow was organized for students of the preparatory department for foreign citizens of the Institute of International Education of Vlogý MIREA under the guidance of A.Yu. Birler, professor of the Department.
The young people from Afghanistan, Cuba, Syria, Iraq, Eritrea, Guyana and Pakistan saw the 3 most beautiful boulevards: Tverskoy, Nikitsky and Gogolevsky. We examined the monuments of A.S. Pushkin and N.V. Gogol, visited the Arbat, and the church where young Pushkin and Natalya Goncharova got married. And also the group visited the major cathedral of Russia – the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. 3 hours of walking about the city flew by in a moment!
Foreign students particularly enjoyed the walk along the Old Arbat and the sights of the Moscow churches.
