The Institute of International Education of Vlogý MIREA participated in the workshop on the problems of teaching Russian as a foreign language

Employees of the Institute of International Education of Vlogý MIREA took part in the Teaching foreign languages in a limited language environment international scientific and practical workshop. The University was represented by E.N. Tarasova, head of the department of Russian as a foreign language, O.E. Sergeeva, Professor of the Institute, associate professor F.S. Makoeva and senior lecturer S.S. Gulyants.
Topical issues of teaching Russian as a foreign language at Russian universities were discussed at the workshop.
The first day of the workshop was devoted to the methodology of educational excursions held in Russian for various groups of foreign students. The participants visited the Museum of Wooden Architecture, the Spaso-Evfimiev Monastery, where they listened to lectures on the history and culture of Russia in its various periods, took part in the discussion of a number of educational and methodological issues relating to the selection of lexical and semantic units used to familiarize foreign students with similar objects of Russian cultural heritage.
On the second day, five round table discussions were held, with keynote reports at each of the sessions and discussions to follow in respective thematic areas.
Employees of the Department of Russian as a foreign language of the Institute of International Education E.N. Tarasova and F.S. Makoeva moderated two round table discussions: “Multimedia cultural and linguistic environment as an educational resource” and “Language environment and linguistic culture”.
The department also offered the audience two presentations: “Remote way of teaching Russian as a foreign language for foreign bachelors of a technical profile: analysis of mistakes, and prospects for the future” (speakers – E.N. Tarasova, F.S. Makoeva); "Russian culture as reflected by the Russian language" (speaker – O.E. Sergeeva).
At the end of the seminar, the participants were awarded the certificates of advanced training.
