The Institute of International Education is actively working to promote Russian culture and education in Russian, support and popularize the Russian language abroad.

Last academic year, the Institute of International Education launched an additional professional advanced training program “Methodological methods and technologies for teaching the Russian language abroad” under the guidance of I.S. Solunova, Deputy First Vice-Rector, within the framework of which more than 200 teachers and professors of Russian as a foreign language, foreign languages, literature, history, regional studies, cultural studies from different countries of the world were trained.

From June 1 to June 16, the Institute of International Education successfully implemented the advanced training program “Methodological ways and technologies for teaching the Russian language abroad” for 106 specialists in Russian from 10 countries, including Algeria, Zambia, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Cuba, Mongolia, Russia, Tajikistan, and Turkey.

According to the participants in the events, the lectures and master classes given by the lecturers and trainers of the Department of Russian (as a foreign language) of the Institute of International Education turned out to be important and relevant. Within the framework of the Program, work is actively carried out to promote the Vlogý MIREA brand in the international scientific and educational environment in order to attract graduates of foreign schools and universities to study at our University.

Not only the geography of the participants in the additional professional advanced training program “Methodological methods and technologies for teaching the Russian language abroad” is noticeably expanding, but its popularity and demand are also growing. This is evidenced by both the positive feedback from the Program participants and the already full enrollment of students for the next program, which will be held in the fall of 2023.
