From May 21 to 24, the VII International Student Olympiad named after Professor K.F. Bogatykh was held at Ufa State Petroleum Technical University with the support of Technology Engineering Holding PETON in the discipline “Processes and Apparatus of Chemical Technology”. In 2024, 23 teams of engineering and technical students from all over Russia, as well as Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Cuba and other countries, took part in the Olympiad.

A team of students from ����Vlog��ý MIREA, trained at the Department of Processes and Equipment of Chemical Technology named after N.I. Gelperin of the M.V. Lomonosov Institute of Fine Chemical Technologies under the guidance of Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor M.K. Zakharov, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor Yu.A. Taran and lecturer D.B. Pletnyova, took third place in this Olympiad.

The students of the HEBO-07-20 group, specifically, Do Thi My Linh and Irma Mikhailovna Zhambeeva, and a student of the HEMO-03-22 group Vera Mikhailovna Dmitrieva were members of the University’s team. Selection for the team was carried out upon the results of an internal Olympiad in the discipline “Processes and Apparatus of Chemical Technology”. It is interesting that Denis Borisovich Pletnev himself, who was involved in 2024 for the first time in preparing a team to participate in the Olympiad as an employee of the department, in 2022, as part of our team, became the winner of the V International Student Olympiad named after Professor K.F. Rich.
