The Student Scientific Society of the Institute of Information Technologies held a series of lectures

17.03.2022

As part of the Student Scientific Society activities, the Institute of Information Technologies offered several lectures.

On March 9, a lecture was held on Artificial Intelligence: “Analysis of Images and Texts”. As part of the lesson, students were able to consider the following questions:

• What is AI, its subregions? Deep learning as a subfield of AI based on data.
• What is the training data?
• Artificial neuron. Neural network. Parameters and parameter learning algorithm.
• Computer vision. Data. Convolutions. Convolutional neural networks. CV tasks.
• Natural language processing, neural models. Problems in language processing.

On March 14, a lecture was held on "Digital transformation of processes and organizations."

Digital transformation is an in-depth reorganization of a company with an extensive use of digital technologies: smart devices and the Internet of things, wireless and mobile communications, machine learning, virtual and augmented reality, and big data. This is an end-to-end transformation across the entire organization. To achieve the goal of digital transformation, it is not enough to use only one technology or digitize one business process. This is an integrated approach to the use of information technology in all processes of the company, not only internally, but also when interacting with the external environment: consumers, partners, and the state. At the same time, digital transformation is closer related to the implementation of various scenarios for the use of technologies, and not to specific solutions. That is why it is important to create such a digital infrastructure of the organization in which it would be possible to implement various initiatives to change the business in a short time.

The theoretical material of the lecture was illustrated by examples demonstrating the capacity of the Institute of Information Technologies in training specialists in this field.
