On April 18, the XII International Scientific and Practical Conference “IT Standard 2023: Ways to Improve the Efficiency of Planning, Development and Application of Information Technology Standards in Modern Conditions” began its work at the ����Vlog��ý MIREA venues.

The event was organized by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Committee on Industrial Policy and Technical Regulation, the Institute of Information Technologies of ����Vlog��ý MIREA, Kodeks Consortium, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, TK-MTK-022 “Information Technologies” and the Kotelnikov Institute of Radioengineering and Electronics (IRE) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The key topics of the conference are listed below: improving technologies for scientific substantiation of annual and medium-term IT standardization programs; improving the quality of standards development and evaluating the effectiveness of their application; identifying global trends and directions for the development of smart (SMART) standards; areas for training promising IT specialists, problematic issues of interoperability, etc.

Representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Belarus, China and India took part in the conference sections. The Russian Federation was represented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Rosstandart, the Institute for Standardization. Experts from IT companies and universities participated in discussions and presentations.

The moderator of the plenary session was prof. S.A. Golovin, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Chairman of the Intersectoral Council for IT Standardization of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Enterpreneurs Committee on Industrial Policy and Technical Regulation, Head of the Department of Software and Standardization of Information Technologies, ����Vlog��ý MIREA, Chairman of the National and Interstate Technical Committee for Standardization “Information Technologies” (TK-MTK-22).

One of the key issues raised during the plenary session was the necessity to determine the major directions of information support for the application and development of standardization, the features of the transition of the national standardization system for the use of standards in digital formats.

The initiatives that were formulated on the basis of the results of the Conference will be forwarded to the relevant federal executive authorities and the leading industrial organizations.
