In the summer of 2022, ����Vlog��ý MIREA volunteers went to the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania for the first time as part of a volunteer trip.

The purpose of the visit was to exchange experience with volunteers of the resource center to support volunteer movement in the Caucasus and to study local traditions and customs.

Wishing to help the host country, our volunteers held an environmental campaign in the Komsomolsky park of the city of Vladikavkaz. Apart from helping the hosts, the students visited many picturesque places in Alania: Karmadon Gorge, Dargavs, Midagrabinsky waterfalls, and Upper Fiagdon.

Together with the students of the North Ossetian State University, our delegation made a trip to the Tsey glacier. The young people laid flowers in the city of Angels and at school No. 1 in the city of Beslan and had a meeting with the volunteers of the resource center for volunteering in the Caucasus in order to exchange experiences.

Excursions to museums, sacred places of Ossetia and places of military glory helped them to get fully immersed in the culture of the people of this area. Students learned a lot of interesting legends and tales, as well as historical facts.

There were also national dances: the volunteers learned the invitation dance of Hong and Simd.

The volunteers group was greatly impressed by the Caucasian hospitality and the landscapes of Ossetia. In 10 days, the students walked more than 137 km and conquered a height of more than 2 kilometers in general. The young people were absolutely overwhelmed by the beauty of the majestic mountains surrounding the Republic and hidden in the clouds.
