13.03.2026

Third-year students majoring in Innovation Studies (field code 27.03.05) at the Department of Innovation Management of the Institute of Management Technologies visited the international exhibition “Neftegaz: Equipment and Technologies for the Oil and Gas Industry” at the Expocenter Fairgrounds. The exhibition is a premier national and global event in the oil and gas sector, held annually in Russia since 1978.

At the exhibition, representatives of major companies, research organizations, and government bodies showcased their latest developments and discussed prospects for the fuel and energy sector. More than 1,000 companies from various countries presented their equipment and technical expertise for exploration, production, transportation, and processing of oil and gas.

The venue covered more than 60,000 square meters and featured modern drilling rigs, industrial automation systems, hydrocarbon transport equipment, diagnostic tools, and safety monitoring systems. Students observed innovative gas leak detectors, thermal imaging systems, digital infrastructure monitoring solutions, and other high-tech products.

Beyond exhibits, the event included a business program with conferences, company presentations, and expert panels on energy-sector development and emerging technologies. This format enabled participants to exchange experience, tackle current industry challenges, and build professional networks.

The visit sparked strong interest among students, offering a first-hand look at cutting-edge solutions and trends in the high-tech industries integral to the sector. Such visits help them develop a systemic understanding of how innovations move from concept to implementation, and explore the interplay between science, industry, and business. Exposure to state-of-the-art solutions and industrial best practices also strengthens their professional competencies, broadens their horizons, and deepens their understanding of how innovative approaches can be applied in real-world industrial contexts.
